The goal of the Soccer Management Institute was to increase their social media presence in the form of GIFs that anyone could use on their social media posts. SMI wanted their logo to be incorporated and also wanted a hint of their Italian roots.
With this in mind, I made two gifs based off the original logo design while having both ideas point towards their Italian tradition and culture. The first is a simple red, white, and green line that outlines the SMI logo. The second uses a custom “glitch” effect to give depth and focus to the original logo. The viewers focus is shifted for a split second but then resumes back to the complete and full view of the crest.
